School Council News
Green Lane School Council transplanted some of the seedlings they had sown in a previous visit to Stockbridge Technology Centre near Selby.
They also visited some GIANT tomatoes in the greenhouses... they were as big as the children themselves!!
Back at school they set up a plant stall to sell the tomatoes, corn, parsley plants and lettuces they had grown themselves. They sold all the produce to raise funds for their gardening project. Green Lane aims to buy more plants and seeds as well as some gardening equipment because they have already started their own vegetable plot in the school grounds.
