This half term we have been learning about our environment and thinking about ways in which we could improve it. We went for a walk down "The Lines" and noticed how much dog-dirt and litter was spoiling the area. On our return to class we wrote letters to Councillor Mark Dobson to tell him how sad we felt and to ask him if he could help to improve the area by organising for more litter and dog-dirt bins. He replied to our letters and has promised to help by contacting the Council.

March 7th was National Tree Planting Day and thanks to one of our Governors who arranged for some trees to be delivered from the Co-operative Bank, we were able to plant 30 trees in the raised flower bed in the Junior Playground. We will care for them in this position until they are sturdy enough to be planted elsewhere in the school grounds.
